  • Contact Congress - Immigration

whip (\ˈhwip) – n. - A member of a legislative body, such as the U.S. Congress or the British Parliament, charged by his or her party with enforcing party discipline.

Let's find out where your member of Congress stands on the Senate's immigration reform bill. That bill passed the Senate last Thursday. Here is the question: "If the Senate's bill on immigration reform comes to a vote in the House, will you vote for it or against it?"

Together we can get your Member of Congress on the record on whether he or she wants to cut these benefits. Then there will be nowhere to hide.

  • Be A Citizen Whip

whip (\ˈhwip) – n. - A member of a legislative body, such as the U.S. Congress or the British Parliament, charged by his or her party with enforcing party discipline.

Republicans (and even some Democrats) want to cut our Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid benefits, but they don't want people to know their plan. You are the secret weapon to expose the lies. Together we can get your Member of Congress on the record on whether he or she wants to cut these benefits. Then there will be nowhere to hide.

  • Stop Illegal Foreclosures!

I need your help. I'm sending a letter to the Director of the FBI and to Central Florida's U.S. Attorney asking them to prosecute banks that foreclose illegally on homeowners. Will you sign on, and send a message that rampant criminality and lawlessness by big banks and 'foreclosure mills' should end in jail time?

Will you add your name to this letter?

I will send this letter, along with all of the cosigners and your comments, to the Director of the FBI and to Central Florida's U.S. Attorney.

Click here to read the full letter.

  • Stop the Catfood Commission

We've got to stop them. If enough of us speak out against Social Security cuts now, then people like me, fighting to protect Social Security, can show the media where We, The People stand on this.

That's why I've started a petition telling Congress and the President, "Don't Steal My Social Security." It tells every Federal official with a say on this that if they vote to cut Social Security, then they're going to have to find another line of work. You know that extension in unemployment benefits that we just passed? That will be for them.

  • Don't Steal Our Social Security

As you read this, the "Catfood Commission" is plotting behind closed doors to find a way to force Social Security cuts on the American people. In a few months, when they come out with their cruel "recommendations," you're going to hear all over the media that we have to destroy Social Security in order to save it.

Where have I heard that before?

We've got to stop them. If enough of us speak out against Social Security cuts now, then people like me, fighting to protect Social Security, can show the media where We, The People stand on this.

  • Tell Congress: Teach Kids, Don't Kill Them

This week, the House is going to take up 'emergency' war money to keep funding the war in Afghanistan.

Originally, the bill contained billions of dollars to keep teachers employed in this country.  This was a deal with the devil - we'll let you teach children, but also include money to kill children.

But that deal wasn't good enough for the warmongers.  The Senate and the Republicans stripped out money for teachers, because they want a bill that only funds killing and waste abroad.

Tell your member of Congress that this is lunacy. Tell them to oppose the supplemental.

  • Tell Congress That We Need Jobs, Not War.

$1 Trillion in minerals in Afghanistan? Are you kidding?

Why did the Pentagon felt it necessary to serve up this fevered imagining? Because they say that they need another $33 billion for the war by July 4th, or, or, or, I don't know - they just say that they need it. And for once, Congress isn't falling all over itself to give the generals whatever they want. So get ready to hear about lithium in Afghanistan, oil in Iraq, and diamonds in your bathtub.

Say no. Send an e-mail to your Member of Congress. Ask him or her to oppose the "emergency supplemental appropriation" for more and more war.

  • Reject PR Moves: End the War in Afghanistan!

The emergency supplemental on war funding for Afghanistan is coming up before Congress right now. It comes just after a recent story in the New York Times that the Pentagon has discovered $1 trillion in minerals in there.

The reported discovery of $1 trillion in minerals in Afghanistan is just a PR move to get Congress to keep funding the war. But we need you to oppose the war-funding emergency supplemental and get us out of Afghanistan.

Ask your member of Congress to oppose the emergency war funding supplemental.

    Email then now!

  • Tell Your Member of Congress: Support The War Is Making You Poor Act

The 'War Is Making You Poor Act' is a powerful idea. It would eliminate the separate funding for the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan, and use that money to eliminate federal income taxes for everyone's first $35,000 of income (or $70,000 for couples) each year. And, it would help pay down our national debt.

So far, 7 members of Congress are co-sponsoring the legislation including Ron Paul, Walter Jones, Dennis Kucinich, Lynne Woolsey, Barbara Lee, John Conyers, and Bob Filner. And, over 20,000 people have signed our petition at TheWarIsMakingYouPoor.com.

Let's build the momentum. Contact your member of Congress now and encourage them to support The War is Making You Poor Act.

  • The War is Making You Poor

Next year's budget allocates $159,000,000,000 to "contingency operations," to perpetuate the occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq. That’s enough money to eliminate federal income taxes for the first $35,000 of every American's income each year, and beyond that, leave over $15 billion that would cut the deficit.

    So let's do that instead.

This Wednesday, January 27, at 9:30 am, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit will hear the case SpeechNow v. FEC to decide if billionaires have the "constitutional right" to pollute political campaigns to any degree that they see fit.

  • Save Democracy

The Supreme Court stabbed Democracy last week. I was there; I saw it happen. I brought our petition with me and presented it to the Court. Now it's time to act.

  • Change Obama's Mind, Change the World

President Obama inspired us in his run for President with his message of peace. This is why Obama was elected: to bring peace and prosperity to our country.

Help me remind the President of that. Fill out the form below to send the White House a message, written using his own words and some of your own, that peace is good.

  • Thank Strong Representatives For You

Three weeks ago, Ron Paul and I, with your help, passed our bill to audit the Fed in the Financial Services Committee. The vote tally was 43-26. This week, Reuters reported that this bill is headed for passage on the floor of the House. This is monumental news. The Fed is fighting us aggressively, but we're actually winning.

I'd like to ask you to thank the Democrats who made this possible. Fill out this form to add your signature to my thank you note and demonstrate to all of these Represetatives just how much we appreciate their true representation of the people in Congress.
