End Health Insurance Monopolies: Become a Citizen Co-sponsor of H.R. 4626
Recently, Tom introduced important new legislation to end the monopoly protections for health insurance companies that have allowed them fix their prices, collude behind closed doors, and rig bids. In any other industry, this activity would be illegal, but for 65 years, insurance companies have enjoyed special protections, allowing them to put corporate profits ahead of patients.
The Perriello-Markey bill (H.R. 4626) to repeal this exemption just passed the House of Representatives, and is now headed to the Senate. This is a major milestone in our fight to put people first, but to ensure that the voice of regular people is heard in the Senate we need your help--will you sign on as a citizen cosponsor today?
Tom will bring your signatures to the leaders of both parties to show the depth of grassroots support for this bill.
